Position: Deputy State’s Attorney (Multiple Counties)
Location: Vermont, USA
Salary: - per hour (based on experience and admission to Vermont Bar)
Employment Type: Full-Time, with the exception of Addison County (part-time - 24 hours per week)

Job Description:

- Represent the State’s Attorney’s Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within the assigned county.
- Manage caseload effectively and may be required to assist other offices at the direction of the State’s Attorney or Executive Director.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers, law enforcement, community agencies, and other partners to pursue best practices, innovative approaches, and positive outcomes in the justice system.
- Expected to have courtroom and jury trial experience.
- Must have a . degree and admission to the Vermont Bar.
- Pending bar results or admission to the Vermont Bar may be considered, but must pass the bar and be admitted in Vermont within a reasonable timeframe determined by the State’s Attorney.
- Private means of transportation must be available.
- Pressures from workload and deadlines should be expected.
