Pacific Buddhist Academy

Overview

Pacific Buddhist Academy is an independent, college preparatory high school, conveniently located near downtown Honolulu. We offer academic excellence in a school community committed to nurturing peace through education.
Pacific Buddhist Academy is the first Shin Buddhist high school in the West and is part of a coordinated system of Buddhist education, pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Our first classes began in August 2003 and this year our first class of students will graduate.
Guided by the Buddhist principles of compassion and interdependence, Pacific Buddhist Academy students and faculty engage in rigorous and meaningful academic learning in a community that treasures each person. Our primary concern is that our students fully develop their intellectual, physical, creative, and spiritual potential and become young adults who contribute directly to peace.
