Great firm. Very good focus on one major subject. Perfect place for science happy lawyers and perfect place for those seeking to get into an environmental legal practice. Otherwise you might be a little out of place.

This is a 100 plus law firm that is a great place to work. My studies were focused in environmental law and this was the perfect fit. That is a large part of their practice. They cover about ever branch of that kind of law. It really is perfect for me.

The best part for me is the focus but that could be a problem if you are not into that kind of law. You will need to love environmental law or you will not be happy. It is a very large part of the firm.

Summer associate program

Our Summer Associate Program is one of the most important elements of our recruitment efforts. We hire a small group of exceptional law students to participate in our summer program. Our program is competitive externally, but cooperative and friendly in-house. For summer 2016, we are recruiting a class of 3-4 summer associates for our Washington, DC office.

We prefer that our summer associates spend their whole summer with us since we feel that is how they will get the best exposure to our practice and our people. Summer associates typically spend ten to twelve weeks with us.
