End discriminatory treatment!

This law firm has associations with a fraudulent lawyer named Sulema Medreno Novak. Sulema used the most unscrupulous tactics to mentally abuse and manipulate a cancer patient that she knew was recently discharged from intensive care hospitalization for colon surgery and seizures. Sulema lied profusely for nearly a year playing both sides with the client and insurance company claiming she was going to ensure payments were made within a few days. Sulema also knew the client had just lost her baby sister and was asked to please not play any manipulative games. Sulema continued to lie profusely DESPITE being warned over and over. Now Sulema is trying to weaponize the law because she is angry about getting caught and wants everyone to see her as a victim when in reality, Sulema laughed at the client on numerous occasions now suddenly Sulema cannot handle being exposed! Sulema also spent frivolously to hinder the customer from being paid and advised the insurance company not to answer any calls for well over six months. Whereas, Sulema frequently asked the customer to speak with her even pretended to have a rapport with the customer. At some point, Sulema asked the client to attend a 4.5 hour meeting fresh out of her intensive care hospitalization. In the days leading up to the meeting, Sulema continued the rapport facade only to get to the meeting and unveil her true personality. During the meeting, Sulema made countless threats to end the meeting if the client asked any questions whatsoever. Bearing in mind, Sulema pretended to have an impeccable rapport with the customer for nearly a year. So the client was emotionally traumatized by how aggressive Sulema behaved during the meeting even outright LIED after the meeting claimed she would follow up with the client within a few days. Several weeks went by eventually the client decided to follow up only to discover Sulema played the most sadistic mind games of abandonment after she was asked for nearly a year are you sure this is not some sort of trick. Sulema gave her word on NUMEROUS occasions and continued to present herself as though her intentions were genuine. However, she wasted no time whatsoever laughing at the client and basically unveiled how she really felt about the client. Obviously, the client felt scammed but Sulema did not show an inkling of remorse instead, she prances around like she has a sense of entitlement to one’s emotional well being. Sulema also does not respect the boundaries of grief that the client was enduring because Sulema exhibited that she did not have a care in the world for the clients physical and emotional health. At this point, we have organized a large support network to spread awareness about Sulema and her associates so we can continue our mission of accountability and exposing ALL of the parties that condone and enable this magnitude of ROGUE inhumane treatment! We will never EVER stop our mission of accountability until we receive a resolution regarding the claim that was filed. Sulema crossed moral and ethical guidelines and just seems to be immersed in the belief that she is privileged and deserves to walk away unscathed. So our mission is to also teach her that she scammed the wrong family because we absolutely do not intend on backing down and we’re more than prepared to protest vehemently even with the courts!

They have associations with a known scammer and enable the behavior!

They’re bias in their thinking!

Absolutely nothing other than the fact that we will boycott this company and any other companies that enable emotional abuse with cancer patients!

Diversity Write a review

At Finnegan, we don't just value diversity, we live it every day in thought, approach, and solutions. In fact, it's so much a part of our culture, we are consistently ranked as one of the nation's top law firms for minority and overall diversity. In the Vault Guide's 2015 survey of the leading law firms for women, minorities, and overall diversity, Finnegan was ranked in the top 10 in each of these categories. American Lawyer similarly ranked the firm in the top 25 in its 2012 survey of the top 100 U.S. law firms for overall diversity. We are particularly pleased to be identified by Working Mother magazine as a top 100 company for working mothers. Only five law firms in 2012 received this distinguished recognition. Additionally, for the last two years, Working Mother magazine and the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) ranked Finnegan as one of the top law firms in the United States for women. Both organizations cited the significant role women serve in Finnegan's management and leadership.

Summer associate program

Our Summer Associate Program is designed to expose law students to the field of intellectual property law and to provide an accurate idea of an associate's work at the firm. Last year, our summer associates had the opportunity to engage in a diverse mix of work, including: attending trials, appellate and motion hearings, depositions, and client meetings; researching and writing on various patent, trademark, copyright, procedural, and evidentiary issues; prosecuting patent and trademark applications; writing speeches and articles; and presenting reviews of recent Federal Circuit decisions. Summer Associates have outstanding technical backgrounds in engineering and the natural sciences, and are typically in the top 25% of their law school class.
