ProfileSenior IT Specialist IT Contract Management Duties: Serve as the key coordinator/focal point for the overall IT contract workflow. Will report through IT, the role will also work very closely with both legal and finance. Will support all aspects of the IT contract process for services and products from initial proposal and negotiation through to signing and future renewals and changes. Supports the IT department by cataloging and analyzing existing IT contracts, reviewing and distilling critical terms and risks for new contracts. Working collaboratively with legal and finance, develops and maintains IT contract standards, formats and checklists. Catalogs all IT contracts, including distilling critical terms, dates, timelines, inclusions and exclusions. Reviews all incoming new and renewal contracts and change requests, assessing for compliance to TMNAS standard terms and requirements, coordinating with Finance, Legal and appropriate IT areas for review, assessment and negotiation. Maintains contract renewal schedule, ensuring ample time for review, assessment, processing and approvals. Manages overall contract workflow between IT, Legal and Finance to ensure timeliness of completion, consistency, cost effectiveness and standards-adherence. Participates as part of Vendor Management to provide and receive feedback on Vendor needs and performance. Establishes and builds strong working relations and partnerships with Vendors, Business Units, Legal, Finance and Senior Management. Prepares contracts, including Statements of Work (SOWs) and Change Requests (CRs), for execution between vendors. Analyzes contract terms and conditions for compliance, cost effectiveness and ensures that Company needs are adequately addressed. Complies with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and administrative activities at the Company. Performs special projects as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Degree / Licenses and Professional Certifications. Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business; or relevant experience. NCMA (CPCM or CCCM) or IACCM (CCM) certifications strongly preferred. Paralegal education, experience or certification is a plus. 2 – 4 years in contract management generally, or IT contract management required. 5 - 7 years relevant work experience within an IT service management or IT administrative team preferred. Experience working directly with, or as part of, a finance or legal department preferred. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat. Ability to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulate to management. Knowledge of organizational politics and political tactics; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels. Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts and processes; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and strong knowledge in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint preferred. Strong writing and communication skills. Strong organizing skills. Strong customer service orientation and approach to work environment. Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Strong customer service orientation toward Business Units requiring writing consultation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate). Strong time management skills: Plan, organize, monitor, and control multiple activities to achieve objectives and deadlines. Abilities: Superior attention to detail. Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities. Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
