Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4+ years of broad-based litigation experience to join its Los Angeles office. This role is ideal for an attorney looking to deepen trial skills and engage in complex commercial litigation. The position involves hands-on litigation responsibilities, including case management, depositions, trial prep, and more. Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial

• Handle court appearances and assist in trial proceedings

• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and execution

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda

• Advise clients on litigation strategy and risk

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of litigation experience

• Background in commercial litigation matters (., breach of contract, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty)

• Experience with depositions, discovery, and trial preparation

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively

• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality legal work

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Excellent legal research and analytical skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

• Collaborative, with the ability to work independently when needed

• Proficient in litigation software and Microsoft Office Suite
