Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking an associate with at least 2 years of litigation experience to join its Construction & Infrastructure Projects team in the Atlanta office. This is an exciting opportunity to represent clients across the country in a nationally recognized construction practice. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to travel. While experience in construction disputes, construction litigation, or an engineering background is desirable, it is not mandatory. Judicial clerkship experience is also a plus.

Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction and infrastructure-related litigation matters

  • Handle disputes related to construction contracts, project delays, and related issues

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on legal strategy and case management

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and memoranda

  • Participate in client meetings and manage client relationships

  • Travel as required for client matters and legal proceedings

  • Support litigation efforts from initial filing through resolution

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in construction law

  • Superior academic credentials (High Honors, Law Review, and/or Moot Court)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willingness to travel as required by client needs

  • Experience with construction disputes or construction litigation is desirable but not mandatory

  • Engineering background or judicial clerkship experience is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice in Georgia or able to obtain admission in Georgia

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively

  • Willingness to engage in litigation-related travel

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts
