Job Title: Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a dedicated mid-level associate to join its Litigation group, available in any of its . offices. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in litigation and a science-related degree, demonstrating strong analytical and writing skills. This role provides an opportunity to engage in meaningful work, assist in case strategies, and foster professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing timely updates.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, guiding them in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with experts to build case strategies and strengthen arguments.
  • Assist in the development of facts, including conducting depositions and gathering evidence.
  • Review and draft essential legal documents, such as discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive case strategies to effectively advocate for clients.
  • Attend and participate in court proceedings and hearings as necessary.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized institution with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to practice law in Puerto Rico.
  • A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • A degree in a relevant scientific field (MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology) is required.
  • Proven experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation, with familiarity in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record from a nationally recognized institution.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice in Puerto Rico.

  • Attention to detail and good business judgment.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
