They also acquired the practice of H W Banks in Featherston, forming Wollerman Cooke & McClure. In December 2006, the firm was rebranded as WCM Legal.

In 2012, WCM Legal expanded its reach by merging with Michael Bale and Kirsten Townsley, who were practicing as Wilson & Co in Wellington. This strategic move allowed the firm to tap into new markets and broaden its expertise. And in 2016, Lindsay Gribben of Major Gooding & Partners, the Masterton "head office" of the former Major Gooding & Wollerman, brought his firm back into the WCM Legal family.

One of the firm's standout features is its rich history. The Greytown office, the oldest among the branches, can trace its roots back to 1874 when W.G. Beard established a practice in Greytown. Colonel RW Tate later purchased the firm in 1886. Mr. Tate played a pivotal role in representing the Small Farms Association, the Greytown Trust Lands Trust, and numerous early settler families. Today, many descendants of these families continue to entrust WCM LEGAL with their legal matters.
