Karl Krooth, lead counsel and president of Immigrant Crime and Justice, offers consultations to discuss your potential for relief in criminal and immigration court. Karl as well as attorney Julian Sanchez Mora assist foreign nationals to seek post-conviction relief in criminal courts as well as avoid immigration consequences in pending criminal matters before state superior courts and federal district courts.

Karl has practical experience in the representation of foreign nationals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Immigration Court, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (former INS) and Deferred Inspections, Customs and Border Protection Bureau.

Karl improves his edge by coordinating with private and non-profit attorneys specializing in immigration law. Karl does so presently as Ethics Coordinator for the Northern California Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, at which he previously served for a decade and a half as Law Enforcement / Criminal Defense Liaison. He also developed a similar track record years ago when he served as a board member of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild (NLGSF), and when he historically served as a chairperson of the Immigration Committee for the NLGSF.

Karl also makes regular presentations on post-conviction relief and immigration consequences of crime to immigration practitioners and criminal defense attorneys. Karl speaks regularly at the annual conference of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Thousands of attorneys attend the conference, a subgroup of whom attend Karl’s speeches and read his articles on post-conviction relief, crime victims, as well as working with criminal defense counsel to mitigate immigration consequences.
