Overview

Meluney Alleman & Spence was founded by three friends who believe that collaboration among a few experienced attorneys is the best way to produce superior results for their clients.

Sean, Bill, and Steve have earned numerous accolades for their work. They have also won and settled cases against the biggest firms in the country. Their goal is to bring that experience, and those results, to all the firm’s clients.

Sean, Bill, and Steve apply a wide range of experiences to each new matter. After clerking, Sean cut his teeth at boutique firms in Philadelphia and Wilmington, focusing on getting as much courtroom experience as possible. Bill practiced at one of Delaware’s top corporate firms, working on some of the largest bankruptcy and litigation matters of the time. Bill and Sean then joined forces at an AmLaw 200 law firm, where they litigated and won several large, complicated commercial and corporate cases. At the same time, Steve, after clerking, gained significant experience as the lead attorney in a wide range of issues, including real property disputes, trusts and estate matters, and commercial litigation. In 2022, they decided to start a new firm.

The firm focuses on five areas of litigation: corporate; commercial; employment; real property; and trusts and estates. The firm works in all Delaware courts. And, whether it is to resolve litigation or to assist their business clients, the firm also handles commercial transactions.

Meluney Alleman & Spence is selective when it comes to clients. This focus allows the firm to give each of its clients the time and attention they deserve.
