What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Glassdoor employee reviews - Cons "Manager is an egotistical tyrant who cares only about the bottom line over clients' best interest and over the law." (in 2 reviews) Pros Nothing. If you enjoy slamming doors, accusations, and a bipolar tyrant, you'll enjoy. Cons Everything. You are treated like a little child and gaslit. The pay will not make up for the stress load. Advice to Management Your employees have gone to college and worked to be treated like an adult. They don't only want good pay, but they want a great work environment and excellent benefits and they deserve it. Cons Extremely high turnover due to toxic work environment (the staff would joke that the place is a revolving door). This is mainly caused by the head partner/owner who is extremely rude and volatile but will pretend to be friendly in the hiring process only to flip a switch after. As an attorney had to sign in and out of the office on a sheet of paper daily and was not treated as a professional. Zero flexibility on arrival and departure time - had to be at desk already working by 8am or would be in violation of the policy. Partners yelling and slamming doors is not uncommon. No one could small talk in hallways for fear of getting in trouble. No guidance and asking questions is frowned upon. My attorney and non-attorney coworkers were all unhappy and have since left. Avoid this firm at all costs. The pay may seem good but you can earn the pay elsewhere. Cons Was not an environment I could thrive in. Pros Since there is a 5 word minimum here ... ok here goes...NONE. Cons You do not get annual reviews on time. You reviews are always months late. Manager is an egotistical tyrant who cares only about the bottom line over clients' best interest and over the law. Horrible PTO, horrible employee morale across all positions, the manager has no idea how to manage a business and/or work with people. The day to day operations are completely antiquated. Join the 21st Century already!!! All employees work on Christmas Eve with no sick days. Bad all the way around, go gain experience at a real firm. Advice to Management You can avoid chronic turnover by treating your employees with respect. If an employee actually has a better legal strategy and/or idea than you... don't run them out, they actually make your firm stronger. Stop fraudulently billing your clients, you lose your employees respect that way. Smile and be kind.... tyranny is out!! Jet fuel is not more important than your employees. Cons Attorneys here are nothing more than worker bees and heavily micromanaged. Massive turnover due to a heavily toxic work environment. Pros I don't have any :/ Cons Terrible management No sick days 10 days PTO the entire year Gaslighting Easily angered and hot tempered manager Zero respect shown to employees Advice to Management If you haven't noticed the trend yet, you will never have consistent employees if you don't learn to treat them with the respect they deserve.
