A well-established immigration law practice is seeking a motivated Immigration Attorney to join its hybrid team based in Wilmington, NC. The firm focuses exclusively on federal immigration law, providing comprehensive legal support to clients across a variety of immigration matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, bilingual, and passionate about immigration law, with the ability to handle both in-office and remote responsibilities.

Duties:
Conduct legal research on federal immigration matters
Prepare cases for hearings, including motions, legal briefs, and supporting documentation
Review and draft immigration applications and client declarations
Collaborate with senior paralegals to gather documents and prepare clients for hearings
Attend immigration court hearings before EOIR/DOJ (in person or via Webex)
Participate in interviews and proceedings with USCIS and the Asylum Office in Virginia
Accompany clients for check-ins with . Department of Homeland Security
Maintain communication with clients throughout their case lifecycle
Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in at least one . jurisdiction
Willingness to travel for in-person hearings and agency appointments as needed
Demonstrated commitment to immigration law
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Active law license in good standing (any . jurisdiction acceptable)
Skills:
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Excellent legal research and drafting abilities
High attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred
Proficiency in immigration-related software and document preparation tools
