Job Title: Tax Director - Private Companies

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Director in the Private Companies sector, you will be an integral part of a team that provides comprehensive business advisory services, including audit, tax compliance, and planning, to private companies. Your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues, ranging from strategy to execution.
- Support team members in disrupting, improving, and evolving ways of working as necessary to enhance operational efficiency.
- Arrange and sponsor assignments and experiences that help individuals realize their potential and support their long-term aspirations.
- Identify market gaps and spot opportunities to create value propositions for clients.
- Seek opportunities to scale efficiencies and implement new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.
- Foster an environment where people and technology thrive together, achieving more collaboratively than individually.

- Leverage technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to address clients' needs effectively.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated thought leader-level knowledge and/or a proven record of success in assisting companies to understand and assess the tax impact of business operations and transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in a global network of professional services firms, law firms, or corporate tax departments of multinational companies.
- Deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Technical prowess with ASC740.
- Ability to identify and address client needs and develop and sustain client relationships.
- Proficiency in networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Capability to prepare and present complex written and verbal materials.
- Competence in defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Ability to lead teams by generating a vision, establishing direction, and motivating team members.
- Skill in creating an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The salary range provided is specifically for roles based in Maryland. Additionally, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation, and personal and family sick leave.
