Manage a diverse caseload involving medical malpractice claims against hospitals, physicians, and healthcare professionals
Draft responsive pleadings, dispositive motions, and detailed legal memoranda
Conduct depositions and represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration proceedings
Provide strategic legal advice to clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment
Collaborate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders to achieve client objectives
Monitor developments in case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to medical malpractice and insurance defense
8–10 years of experience in insurance defense with a strong background in medical malpractice litigation
Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic, time management, and organizational abilities
High level of professionalism and integrity
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar
Advanced legal research and writing
Litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy
Mediation, negotiation, and case resolution skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
