Overview:
- Appointed to the chambers of Judge Michael E. Romero for the . Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado in Denver
- Researches issues of law, attends court proceedings, and makes recommendations to the assigned judicial officer
- Daily interaction with judicial officers and other law clerks
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide recommendations based on the law
- Attend court proceedings and assist with case management
- Communicate with judicial officers and other law clerks on legal and court-related issues
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a law school of recognized standing
- Standing within the upper third of law school class or demonstrated proficiency in legal studies
- At least 1-2 years of full-time legal work experience after graduation from law school
- Member of the bar of a state, territorial, or federal court of general jurisdiction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in bankruptcy or comparable practice areas
- Highly skilled in legal research and writing
- Familiarity with electronic case filing and management systems
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
