Are you a current student interested in social justice and public interest work? California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. (CRLA) offers internship opportunities throughout the year for law students and undergraduates. As a CRLA intern, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced litigators and community lawyers while gaining hands-on experience in areas such as client intake, case development, and representation in administrative hearings.

CRLA is dedicated to serving vulnerable rural communities, including Indigenous populations, LGBTQ+ individuals, and youth. We also focus on areas such as education, employment and labor, housing, and leadership development. Our interns play an important role in supporting our mission and vision, and we welcome inquiries from all individuals who share our passion for social justice.

Qualifications:

- Interest in social justice and public interest work in rural areas
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) fluency preferred for Agricultural Worker Program Offices
- Experience in researching state and federal issues
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse employee and client populations
- Community service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Internship Details:

- Full or part-time positions available for university credit (availability may vary by office and subject area)
- Flexible start and end dates
- Unpaid position, interns must provide their own funding
- Locations may vary by office
