Job Overview: A respected family law firm with offices in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney to join its Vancouver, WA office. This role is ideal for a collaborative and driven attorney who thrives in a team-based, fast-paced legal environment and has significant experience in family law matters, particularly those involving Family Abuse Prevention Act (FAPA) cases. The position involves both independent case management and support on complex matters, with the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and leadership on delivering exceptional legal service to clients.Location:Vancouver, WADuties:Deliver high-quality legal services in all aspects of family lawIndependently manage a caseload involving custody, divorce, support, and FAPA mattersPrepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, declarations, motions, and settlement agreementsCollaborate with senior attorneys on strategy for complex or high-conflict casesRegularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courtsAppear in court for hearings, mediations, and trials as neededSupervise staff and support team members within the practice groupParticipate in business development and firm-sponsored networking functionsEnsure compliance with legal standards, ethical obligations, and internal firm practicesRequirements:Minimum of 2 years of recent experience practicing family lawDemonstrated experience handling matters involving FAPAs, asset division, custody, child/spousal supportExperience with trial preparation and courtroom litigationPrior experience managing client relationships and supervising legal staffCommitment to high-level client service and responsivenessAbility to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsEducation:Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active member of the Oregon State Bar (required)Washington State Bar membership (preferred or willingness to obtain)Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong legal research, drafting, and analytical skillsAbility to maintain composure and professionalism under pressureStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative cultureComfortable mentoring and supervising junior staff and paralegalsBenefits:Salary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus structureComprehensive benefits package, including:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) planPaid time off (PTO) and holidaysFree parkingWork-life balance supported by firm cultureOngoing mentoring and professional development opportunitiesInclusive, diverse workplace environment
