Job Title: Sanctions Compliance Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Enhance and maintain global corporate sanctions compliance programs, focusing on US and EU/UK sanctions laws and regulations.
- Act as a key member of the sanctions compliance team to advise and counsel stakeholders on sanctions-related issues.
- Provide practical solutions for navigating complex geo-political environments.
- Conduct periodic legal compliance risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs, identify gaps, and develop remediation plans.
- Stay updated on evolving sanctions law, regulation trends, and regulatory regimes that could impact the business.
- Provide guidance on improving and operationalizing sanctions compliance screening mechanisms.
- Advise on internal investigations related to compliance policies owned by the Global Legal Compliance team.
- Conduct internal compliance training and education programs in collaboration with regional compliance counsel and cross-functional stakeholders.

Education and Experience Information:
- Law degree and legal qualifications in a common law jurisdiction.
- Proven compliance experience at an international law firm and in-house at a multinational company, with a preference for tech/fintech sectors.
- In-depth understanding of sanctions and anti-money-laundering (AML) laws.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
- High ethical standards, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategy and execution with a "roll up sleeves" mentality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary Information:
The base salary range for this position is $202,350 - $357,390 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. The role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
