Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Truckee, California is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a focus on transactional, real estate, and general business matters. Location:

  • Truckee, California

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel in business formation, transactions, and general corporate matters

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and real estate contracts, including leases and buy/sell agreements

  • Advise clients on land use and development issues

  • Support clients in real estate and environmental compliance matters

  • Represent clients in business-related litigation matters (as applicable)

  • Engage in client development and community activities aligned with the firm’s mission

  • Collaborate with team members to serve a broad client base in the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe regions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal practice experience

  • Background in business and transactional law; litigation experience is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters independently

  • Commitment to local community values and client engagement

  • Availability to maintain regular presence in the Truckee office

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (required)

  • Admission to the Nevada Bar (preferred, not required)

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • High level of professionalism and integrity

  • Proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, and client counseling
