A prominent law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Corporate Services Group in the St. Louis office. This position offers the opportunity to engage in high-level real estate and real estate finance transactions within a collaborative and experienced legal team. The ideal candidate will handle diverse real estate matters from inception to conclusion, with a strong focus on development, leasing, financing, and construction. This is a client-facing role with potential for growth, mentorship, and business development involvement.

Duties

  • Handle real estate transactions including acquisition, sale, leasing, development, and construction

  • Advise on real estate finance matters, loan transactions, and incentive structures

  • Manage projects related to redevelopment, special purpose districts, and administrative procedures

  • Produce high-quality legal work across various stages of transactional matters

  • Communicate with internal and external clients in a clear, professional manner

  • Delegate and supervise work of support staff or junior attorneys when appropriate

  • Participate in business development and contribute to client relationship management

  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with legal practice

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in real estate and/or real estate finance

  • Familiarity with real estate leasing, purchase, and sale transactions

  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and independently

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on client service and quality outcomes

  • Willingness to grow within a team and take initiative in leadership opportunities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri and in good standing

  • Must maintain compliance with CLE and licensing requirements

Skills

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and manage client relationships

  • Demonstrated interest in continued legal education and adoption of new technologies
