Internship
The candidate will provide primary support for the Commission’s efforts to protect the Open Internet and broadband privacy, and develops the annual Broadband Progress Report. Reviews communications industry mergers and other transactions involving wireline carriers, applications seeking to discontinue service, and petitions requesting forbearance from statutory provisions and regulations. Recommends and reviews rules and policies relating to all aspects of telephone numbering administration. Work helps to protect consumers, foster competition, and ensure a sustainable policy framework for competitors that rely on the facilities of others.
