Job Title: Tax Manager - Private Equity

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Manager in the Private Equity sector, the candidate will play a pivotal role in providing tax compliance and advisory services to investment management clients. Key responsibilities include:

- Performing high-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings.
- Preparing and leading client meetings focused on compliance and advisory projects, particularly related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of various transactions.
- Training, mentoring, and supervising both new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Taking on lead client-contact roles, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
- Conducting billing and profitability analysis on engagements to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Engaging in marketplace eminence building and pursuits, contributing to the firm's visibility and reputation in the industry.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field.
- Over 5 years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- At least 3 years of experience with investment management or partnership taxation.
- Proven experience in managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, depending on the nature of work and client requirements.
- One of the following active accreditations is required:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible, the candidate may have a Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.

Preferred qualifications include previous experience with a Big 4 firm or a large CPA firm equivalent, along with knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting.

Salary Information:
The wage range for the Tax Manager role considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The estimated range is $93,660 to $213,200. It is noted that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are contingent on the specifics of each case. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, with awards based on individual and organizational performance.
