Job Title: Law Fellow
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop legal expertise in the areas of housing, labor and employment, environmental justice, education, and health.
- Provide legal services in priority areas such as Housing, Employment, Education, Rural Health, and Leadership Development.
- Engage in both direct services and systemic advocacy to address the legal needs of rural Californians.
- Participate in a network of 13 field offices throughout rural California.
- Contribute to the multi-county Tenant Justice Project focused on eviction defense and tenant rights.
- Engage in regional projects, including the Monterey County Medical Legal Partnership, Imperial County Health Consumer team, and Central Coast Homelessness Prevention Collaborative.
Education and Experience Information:
- Open to rising or current third-year law students and recent law graduates.
- Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to working with rural Californians and addressing core issues affecting their lives.
