International Tax Manager (Corporate) - Remote Eligible
Job Responsibilities:
The International Tax Manager serves as a firmwide resource responsible for delivering international tax services to clients and supporting the growth of the international tax practice. This role involves creating unique service offerings tailored to client needs and mentoring and developing talent within the international tax team. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving clients on various international tax planning and compliance matters, including in-bound and out-bound cross-border transactions, corporate international taxation, and export tax incentives.
- Participating in internal and external training and presentations on international tax topics.
- Building an awareness of international tax issues and identifying opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
- Conducting in-depth research on international tax issues to maintain and expand the team's technical knowledge and capabilities.
- Managing client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
- Evaluating the costs, benefits, and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.
- Actively seeking and providing feedback to develop the international tax practice.
- Capitalizing on personal and professional experiences to develop business and practice lines.
- Managing, developing, training, and coaching staff on the international tax team.
- Managing client billing for accounting services provided.
- Participating in community organizations and industry functions.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required; a Master’s Degree, JD, or LLM in Taxation is preferred.
- An active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license, Enrolled Agent (EA) license, or JD or LLM is required.
- 4+ years of experience in tax with 2+ years focused on international tax.
- Experience working for a public accounting firm is preferred.
- A strong federal tax background and experience working with closely-held businesses.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience solving international tax issues and opportunities.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, research, and writing skills with the ability to articulate complex international tax issues.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and using various software packages.
Salary Information:
Compensation for the International Tax Manager position ranges from $100,000 to $140,000. The compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay, with final compensation decisions dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
