Job Title: 2026 2L Summer Associate - Seattle

Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Summer Associate at the law firm will engage in a wide range of challenging legal assignments similar to those given to new associates. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research, analysis, and drafting legal documents.
- Attending depositions, mediations, deal closings, client meetings, trials, and other professional activities.
- Participating in pro bono projects.
- Collaborating with attorneys and business professionals during social events and training opportunities.
- Demonstrating academic excellence and leadership in the community.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- Currently enrolled students in good standing pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at an ABA-accredited law school.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership in the legal profession.
- For Patent Litigation candidates, a demonstrated interest in patent litigation is required. A technical degree or scientific background in fields such as electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or related fields is a plus. Candidates with life sciences backgrounds may also be considered.
- For Patent Prosecution candidates, eligibility to sit for the Patent Bar and a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or related fields are required. Candidates with technical degrees in life sciences may be considered.
- Trademark, Copyright, Internet & Advertising candidates do not need a technical degree or scientific background, as the position is litigation-focused and not intended for those interested in trademark and copyright prosecution.

Salary Information:
The position offers monthly compensation for Washington at $18,750. Although the position is not benefits-eligible, paid holidays are available.
