Intern, Global Tax Incentives

Job Responsibilities:
As an Intern in Global Tax Incentives, you will be expected to undertake a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the consulting services offered by the company. Your duties will include:

- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct research and development (R&D) tax credit consulting services. This involves leading interviews with client subject matter experts, writing technical memoranda, performing tax technical research, and developing quantitative work papers supporting amounts claimed.
- Assisting with federal tax consulting services, which include areas such as meals and entertainment, accounting method assessments, treatment of capitalized assets, and inventories.
- Communicating directly with client personnel, including those in operations, finance, accounting, and engineering departments.
- Managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously. This includes conducting client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordinating resources between the company and clients.
- Performing engagement management activities such as billing analysis, invoicing, and engagement setup.
- Assisting with tax research, responding to IRS inquiries, drafting IRS protest letters, and writing other technical memoranda as needed.
- Applying tax technical knowledge to specific client situations and industries.
- Interfacing with client personnel to obtain information and deliver a high-quality project on time and on budget.
- Clearly communicating the work plan and project objectives to the project team.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for this internship, candidates are expected to be:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Science/Business Administration, Master of Science in Accounting, finance, economics, or a STEM discipline is preferred.
- Pursuing (or having the intent to pursue) professional qualifications such as CPA, JD, or .
- Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information effectively.
- Strong analytical and writing skills are required.
- High proficiency in spreadsheets is necessary.
- The ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines is essential.
- Candidates should be highly motivated to learn and grow.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to excel in a deadline-driven environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role.

Salary Information:
The position offers an hourly rate of $35 per hour. Interns are not eligible to participate in the company's fringe benefits programs.
