Job Description:
KPMG is seeking a Trade & Customs Senior Associate to join their team. The position involves meeting with clients in various industries to provide advice on trade compliance matters, leading and managing client projects, and supporting market development and thought leadership initiatives. The Senior Associate will also research and write advice on export compliance and assist in the management and career development of team members.

Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to clients on trade compliance matters
- Lead and manage client projects, including audits, reviews, program development, and training
- Support market development and thought leadership initiatives, such as writing articles
- Research and write advice on export compliance
- Manage and mentor team members

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:
- Provide leadership and review work of associates

Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of recent direct experience in trade compliance, specifically in . Customs and Border Protection rules and regulations, . Harmonized Tariff Code, . customs valuation requirements, export compliance (. EAR and ITAR), and developing sustainable export compliance programs
- Bachelor's degree, ., . in taxation, and/or MBA from an accredited college/university
- In-depth experience with . import and export control regulations and the ability to provide practical advice and solutions for complex matters
- General export control and sanctions experience, including audits, advisory opinions, classification, and developing a trade compliance framework
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with technical skills in data and analytics preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:
- Minimum three years of recent direct experience in import and/or export compliance matters
- United States Customs Broker or CUSECO certification preferred
