The AGO Advantage

Interning at the AGO offers many advantages, including:

- Real-world litigation experience: You'll have the chance to work on projects and assignments that will give you a preview of what it's like to work as an attorney. These projects are designed to provide practical skills that can be applied to many areas of practice within the legal field.
- Future employment opportunities: The AGO uses the internship program to identify and recruit top talent for their Class of Assistant Attorney Generals. By hiring interns, the Office is able to start the onboarding process early and potentially offer full-time positions upon graduation and admission to the Missouri Bar.
- Training for the next generation: The AGO values mentorship and feedback, and each intern is assigned a supervising attorney who will provide guidance and support throughout the program. The Office also welcomes feedback from interns to continually improve and tailor the program to their needs.

How to Apply

The AGO internship program primarily focuses on law students, but some sections may also host undergraduate interns. Most internships take place during the summer, but opportunities may also be available in the fall and spring semesters. Internships can be paid and/or used for school credit.

On-campus interviews are conducted at all four Missouri law schools and other law schools as well. Check with your law school's career development office for application deadlines and interview dates. Out-of-state students can also apply on the AGO website.
