Senior Associate - Tax Credits & Incentives Advisory:

As a Senior Associate in **Members Only**’s Strategic Tax Advisory practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a quickly growing group generating over $20 million in annual revenue for the firm. In this role, you will provide tax credit and incentive advisory services to clients across various industries. You will have the chance to develop strategies and action plans to grow the firm’s Tax Credits & Incentive Advisory (TCIA) practice, making a significant impact on the firm’s success. This is a full-time position, with the option to work remotely within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies to grow **Members Only**’s TCIA practice
- Provide cost segregation, R&D tax incentive, fixed asset, site selection, state credits and incentives, employee retention credit, and energy tax consulting services to clients
- Review fixed asset registers and assess reclassification opportunities
- Collaborate with other leaders in TCIA to identify opportunities for clients
- Manage multiple engagements and projects in a fast-paced, results-driven team environment
- Meet client expectations and adhere to pre-established deadlines
- Collect field data on buildings through measuring and producing detailed notes for costing and audit purposes
- Cost all components of architectural, site, mechanical, and electrical construction using industry accepted techniques and methods
- Work closely with engineers and modelers
- Participate in site inspections for IRS audit substantiation purposes
- Understand and manage a taxpayer’s fixed assets

Ideal Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in public accounting
- Knowledge of IRS code sections, court cases, revenue rulings, and other tax citations related to cost segregation
- Understanding of construction design and processes, as well as depreciation, to determine appropriate tax lives for building assets in accordance with IRS standards
- Knowledge of real estate appraisals and valuations
- Working knowledge of software tools such as Segstream and blueprint reading/estimating software
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Desire to participate in strategic planning initiatives
- Strong project management and organizational skills

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or related field
- CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD required for Manager, Senior Manager, and Director positions
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal tax compliance or tax consulting services
- Experience with costing models utilizing Excel pivot tables
- Preference for candidates with experience preparing or reviewing Form 3115
- Ability to manage competing projects in a fast-paced, results-driven team environment
- Located on the West coast is a plus
