Job Title: Tax Managing Director - Private Equity
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary engagement manager with responsibilities for billing, realization, and collections.
- Leverage technology and resources to apply technical standards to projects, ensuring the engagement team adheres to these standards.
- Determine appropriate tax objectives, scope, and methodology, participating in decision-making with client's management to understand impacts of decisions and solutions.
- Evaluate and develop managers, seniors, and staff in client engagement management and technical expertise in various tax areas including individual, trust, partnership, corporate, federal, state, local, and foreign tax returns, estimated payments and extensions, and audits.
- Develop and execute a business development plan, including networking, new client development, and client expansion activities.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
- CPA or Bar License required.
- Minimum of 13 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or related experience.
- Experience in the Private Equity industry preferred.
- Proficient in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
- Minimum of 4 years of supervising and training experience.
- Subject matter expertise in corporate, partnership, individual, or trust and estate taxation required.
- Experience with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred.
- Proven market-facing skills to develop new business and sustain client relationships.
- Must have visibility and recognition within industry specialization and local market.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10%.
Salary Information:
- Compensation Range: California: $250,000 - $400,000
- Position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
- Actual compensation may depend on factors such as qualifications, work experience, skills, and geographic location.
