As an Associate Corporate Counsel for Intellectual Property at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading the trademark strategy for multiple brand portfolios in the consumer retail space. This role requires a Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent, as well as 2+ years of experience with trademark and copyright issues, including global trademark portfolios. Compensation for this position is based on experience and includes equity compensation.

Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic advice on brands, trademarks, copyrights, and domain names to teams within the company
- Manage clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of growing US and foreign trademark portfolios
- Counsel clients on intellectual property matters
- Develop and implement intellectual property protection policies
- Educate and coach business teams on intellectual property issues

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications for this role include a Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent, as well as 2+ years of experience with trademark and copyright issues. Preferred qualifications include the ability to manage trademark and copyright-related activities for multiple business segments, experience with both domestic and foreign trademark portfolios, and the ability to understand and resolve complex legal and business issues.

Compensation for this position is reflective of the cost of labor in various US geographic markets and ranges from $118,400/year to $195,700/year. Factors such as market location, job-related knowledge and skills, and experience are taken into consideration when determining pay.
