Job Title: Fall Internship
Job Responsibilities:
Interns in this program participate actively in the daily operations of the district and Washington, . congressional offices. Their tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Handling phone duties
- Conducting legislative research
- Providing Capitol tours
- Attending committee meetings and seminars
- Answering mail
- Updating computer records
- Running errands
- Offering general assistance to staff to ensure the office runs smoothly
Education and Experience Information:
The program is open to students who are interested in gaining firsthand experience with the legislative branch of government. The internship is unpaid, and interns are expected to arrange their own housing. It is suitable for full-time students, and academic credit can be pursued if desired. Interns must be responsible for meeting their specific program requirements to receive credit. The office can provide necessary documentation for obtaining credit upon request.
