Job Title: Manager, International Tax (Investment Management)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Manager within the International Tax sector of the Investment Management industry, you will play a vital role within an engagement team, leveraging your expertise in accounting and taxation to deliver tax consulting and compliance services to diverse client types. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing high-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings.
- Preparing and leading client meetings focused on compliance and advisory projects related to tax planning opportunities, as well as the tax implications of various transactions.
- Training, mentoring, and supervising new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors.
- Taking on lead client-contact roles to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Conducting billing and profitability analysis on engagements to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Engaging in marketplace eminence building and pursuits to enhance the firm's profile and client base.
- Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance to foster the development and motivation of the engagement team.
- Supervising Senior and Tax Consultants to ensure quality service and client satisfaction.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following educational and experience criteria:
Required:
- Possess over 5 years of experience in providing tax planning and/or compliance services.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
- Demonstrate the ability to work within a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- Be willing and able to travel up to 25%, depending on work requirements and client engagements.
- Have one of the following active accreditations:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office, if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- Licensed attorney or Enrolled Agent if not CPA eligible.
Preferred:
- Experience in strategic planning initiatives.
- Focus on partnership, funds, and/or international taxation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong executive presence.
Salary Information:
Compensation for this role is determined by a range of factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $107,100 and $235,300. It is important to note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of this range, as compensation decisions are based on specific circumstances. Additionally, there may be eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, contingent on individual and organizational performance.
