Job Title: Employment Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious national labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney with over 7 years of practice to join its team as Special Counsel. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, while still maintaining a dynamic full-cycle litigation practice. The role will focus primarily on administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation, including single-plaintiff cases and potential involvement in larger cases like class actions. The position provides the opportunity to collaborate with a team of legal professionals and benefit from the support of a strong paralegal and secretarial team, all within a virtual office setup.
Duties:
- Handle administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment-related litigation.
- Develop case strategies and supervise the drafting and review of legal documents.
- Conduct depositions and represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
- Manage single-plaintiff litigation with potential exposure to class actions and PAGA cases.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners, contributing to case preparation and legal strategies.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior attorneys and paralegals in the firm’s virtual office.
- Participate in the firm’s broad spectrum of labor and employment law matters.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment law and litigation.
- Proven ability to handle employment law matters independently in a remote work environment.
- Active bar membership in good standing (state bar in any jurisdiction).
- Experience with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters is preferred.
- Prior experience in a law firm setting is a plus, with exposure to complex employment litigation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and legal writing skills.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active membership in a . State Bar.
