Job Title: Corporate Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with General Counsel and the legal department to address the legal needs of a dynamic professional service practice.
- Assist in managing professional liability, auto, or general liability claims against the company and work towards their resolution.
- Work with internal resources and external insurance brokers to manage the commercial insurance program, ensuring coverage for claims and compliance with insurance requirements.
- Research legal issues and changes in the law to ensure the company's operations comply with day-to-day legal requirements. Advise management on perceived risks or liabilities.
- Serve as a legal resource on various subjects, including project delivery issues, business conduct requirements, cybersecurity, professional liability, commercial insurance, employee relations, intellectual property, bankruptcy, securities regulations, and other legal matters as they arise.
- Review and negotiate contracts and subcontracts in collaboration with the legal department, General Counsel, and Project or Client Managers.
- Provide high-quality, responsive services to internal and external clients to support effective issue resolution.
- Offer guidance and support to Project or Client Managers on contract or risk management-related issues.
- Respond to requests for assistance and guidance from Project and Client Managers.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree and a license to practice law in any state/province in the US or Canada is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in contract law, including reviewing, administering, and negotiating contracts; handling project-related claims; evaluating general legal issues; and communicating complex legal issues to non-lawyers.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Excel and Access.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues, groups of professionals, senior management, project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and logical thinking skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, insurance documents, business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, legal documents, office procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Valid . driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
