Job Title: Senior Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel at the company will be a strategic business partner, providing legal advice and support to achieve business objectives while advising on risk mitigation strategies. The role involves structuring, writing, and negotiating agreements that address a broad range of legal issues and risks. The Senior Counsel will collaborate with specialist attorneys and other professionals to advise on regulatory, compliance, privacy, and litigation matters. They will also supervise legal professionals and other associates on standard agreements. Additionally, the role requires working with the legal department colleagues to identify, design, and implement continuous process improvement initiatives using the Danaher Business System (DBS) concepts to enhance client service levels or streamline template agreements.

Education and Experience Information:
The essential requirements for the Senior Counsel position include a and six or more years of business law experience in the medical device or life sciences industry, acquired in a law firm and/or corporate legal department. The candidate must have active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction. The position may require up to 15% travel to company sites as needed. While not mandatory, it is advantageous for candidates to have experience with healthcare regulations, including fraud and abuse (., anti-kickback), FDA regulations for medical devices, data use and privacy (., HIPAA, GDPR), anti-corruption (., FCPA), and software transactions.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Senior Counsel role is $160,000 to $190,000 annually. This range is provided in good faith as the potential compensation for this role at the time of posting and may be subject to future modifications. The position is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan. It is important to note that no amount of pay is considered wages or compensation until it is earned, vested, and determinable.
