Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Manager

Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within the Corporate Tax services at the company involves assisting clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the tax impact on their business. This role provides opportunities to advise clients on local and international tax affairs, act as a strategic consultant for business analysis, manage working capital, and advise on profit-sharing strategies for partners. The responsibilities include:
- Helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties.
- Providing advice on tax implications of deals.
- Navigating the complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, operational tax risk management, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.
- Assisting clients with tax structuring and addressing challenges in the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.
- Working as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Developing new skills, resolving team issues, coaching others, and encouraging personal development.
- Analyzing complex ideas, building recommendations, and using multiple sources of information for developing solutions.
- Managing viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes.
- Simplifying complex messages and summarizing key points.
- Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Leading in technology-enabled tax advisory, focusing on digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and tax liabilities.
- Experience in accounting of Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Comprehensive technical skills in providing services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITS, institutional real estate funds, and privately held real estate entities.
- Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, building client relationships, managing project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, and preparing complex written and verbal materials.
- Experience as a team leader, encouraging diverse views, and providing feedback.
- Success as a tax technical business advisor, developing new relationships, and selling new services.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including working with large data sets, building models, and leveraging data visualization tools.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within this range depends on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
