About Willamette University:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach two courses each semester, providing classroom instruction, timely feedback, and academic counseling
- Work closely with students inside and outside of the classroom to encourage learning and professional development
- Engage in scholarship at a national level, including research, written works, and conference presentations
- Participate in service work with University and College of Law committees
- Work in a manner that furthers equity and diversity on campus
Minimum Qualifications:
- Law degree required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Enthusiasm for legal scholarship and participation in academic life
- Enthusiasm for student success and ability to be empathetic towards students
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and with diverse individuals
- Competence in word processing and electronic communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior published scholarship in candidate’s area of interest
- Teaching experience at an ABA-Accredited Law School
- Prior experience as a licensed attorney, preferably licensed in the Oregon State Bar
- Demonstrated interest in experiential education or simulation-based courses
Typical Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, occasional evenings for classes or service obligations
