Tax Manager – Corporate/Commercial
Job Responsibilities:
Managers in the Commercial practice at the company oversee multiple engagements for clients ranging from multi-national corporations to early-stage start-ups. Their responsibilities include:
- Engaging in business development activities such as preparing proposals, presenting in webinars, and collaborating with other service lines to offer a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients.
- Maintaining communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meeting deadlines, staying current on legislative changes, and effectively leading change.
- Conducting primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
- Providing ASC 740 tax provision support and reviewing preparation.
- Supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating Interns, Associates, and Senior Associates.
- Receiving formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and opportunities to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Corporate Tax experience is required.
- A Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- An advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service is required, such as a CPA or JD.
- The candidate should be a self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Salary Information:
The company offers competitive base compensation and a benefits package, along with a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Los Angeles, the expected salary range for this role is $132,000 to $190,100, though the actual salary offer can vary based on employee qualifications.

Compensation:
