Job Title: Manager, M&A Tax Job Responsibilities: The Manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice is tasked with a variety of responsibilities to support clients and the team. Key duties include: - Advising clients on a comprehensive range of corporate tax services, which encompasses planning, research, and various mergers and acquisitions activities. - Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, while effectively communicating findings and opportunities to clients. - Collaborating with and assisting senior members of the M&A Tax practice on technical tax issues related to consolidated returns, S corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and LLPs. - Assisting clients with current issues such as bankruptcy emergence planning, out-of-court workouts, debt restructurings, tax basis, earnings and profits, and Section 382 studies. - Developing, motivating, and training staff-level team members. - Acting with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to maintain a respectful and courteous work environment. Education and Experience Information: Candidates for the Manager, M&A Tax position should possess the following qualifications: - A minimum of five years of recent experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions within a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm. - A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. - A licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, along with other credentials approved by the company. Candidates who do not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials at the start of their employment have one year from their hire date to obtain one. - Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters across various industries. - The ability to manage multiple engagements and client service teams. - Excellent research and writing skills.
