The premier Northwest regional law firm, Schwabe, is seeking a full-time Land Use Associate with at least 3 years of experience to join their Real Estate & Natural Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have a and a strong background in real estate, environmental, land use, administrative law, or general litigation. This position offers a competitive salary range of $165,000 - $185,000, as well as excellent benefits and potential for discretionary merit bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and present at public hearings and administrative proceedings
- Conduct research and review of development feasibility
- Draft land use applications and appellate briefs
- Analyze administrative codes and regulations
- Collaborate with a team while also taking ownership of projects
- Communicate effectively with clients and demonstrate strong client service ethics
- Show interest in business development in the land use real estate/construction and/or natural resources industry

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience in real estate, environmental, land use, administrative law, or general litigation
- Admission to the Oregon State Bar or Washington State Bar, or eligibility for immediate reciprocity
- Excellent academic credentials and professional references
- Strong research, analysis, writing, and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented setting with significant independence

Location:

This position will be based in either Bend, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington.
