Job Title:
Tax Provision Senior - Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory (TARAS) - GCR

Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior in the Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice, you will have several key responsibilities:

- Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, which includes internal restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts.
- Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
- Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment.
- Assess tax risk and control environments, inclusive of and beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- Engage in tax accounting projects and consulting.
- Enhance processes and controls.
- Identify, prioritize, monitor, and remediate key risks.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role, you must have:

- A bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM is preferred.
- A valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services, a tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
- A broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel 50% or more and work on out-of-town projects.

Ideally, you will also have:

- Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience, as well as experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
- Relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in business or industry, with broad exposure to federal income taxation.

Salary Information:
The position offers a competitive salary. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $95,200 to $157,000. The base salary range for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $114,200 to $178,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
