Salary: $82,198 + $4,775 location pay
Experience: Graduation from an accredited law school no more than 3 years prior to appointment and admission to the New York State Bar within 18 months of appointment, or appointment within 3 years of first admission to any bar in the United States
Job Description:
- Conduct legal research and analysis for complex civil term motions
- Prepare memorandums, orders, and opinions
- Verify citations
- Draft jury charges and verdict sheets for trials
- Confer with parties in legal actions to clarify issues
- Possess knowledge of laws and rules governing civil practice
- Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer technology
- Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend complex legal and technical data
- Ability to identify relevant case opinions and facts
- Ability to establish work priorities and handle sensitive matters confidentially
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
