Job Title: Personal Injury Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Personal Injury Attorney at the law firm will be responsible for litigating and managing a variety of personal injury cases, including but not limited to car accidents, trucking accidents, and slip and falls. The attorney's duties will encompass drafting written discovery, defending and taking depositions, attending mediations, making court appearances, and handling all aspects of the litigation process from the lawsuit stage through trial. This includes assisting and participating with the lead attorney in trial activities such as delivering opening statements and directing witnesses.
The role requires the attorney to demonstrate a strong interest in litigation, evidenced by past work experience, involvement in plaintiff's bar associations, and participation in case proceedings like depositions, hearings, and trials. The attorney should be self-motivated, organized, compassionate, and articulate, with strong communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Critical thinking skills are essential for providing solutions to complex situations, along with a willingness to learn about legal matters and clients' lives. The attorney should work well in a team environment, be open to collaboration and critique, and be proficient in using tools such as Outlook, Dropbox, and FileVine.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in personal injury law and be proficient in Microsoft Office. A valid Arizona Bar License is required. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated an interest in litigation through previous work experience and involvement in relevant legal associations.
Salary Information:
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The compensation package is complemented by a range of benefits, including:
