Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Resource Attorney to support its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in San Diego. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of practicing attorneys by providing legal research, developing practice resources, and assisting with business development efforts. This is a non-billable position, ideal for an attorney with a strong background in patent and trade secret litigation who is looking to leverage their expertise in a strategic, knowledge-driven role.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Stay current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to IP litigation.
  • Develop client alerts, white papers, blog posts, and similar publications.
  • Create, maintain, and update archives of legal work product and knowledge resources.
  • Develop practice resources to enhance internal knowledge-sharing and client engagement.
  • Assist in coordinating speaking engagements, webinars, and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance branding, market presence, and business development strategies.
  • Collect and provide information for marketing efforts, including responses to RFPs and business development opportunities.
  • Work with internal resources to ensure consistency in client service and approach.
  • Coordinate with Professional Development to support attorney training and skills development.
  • Partner with Information Services to assess legal technologies and develop efficiency solutions for the practice group.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent litigation.
  • Some experience in trade secret litigation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IP law, particularly litigation procedures and case management.
  • Understanding of the technology and life sciences industries.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to a . State Bar in good standing.

Skills:

  • Expertise in IP litigation, particularly patent and trade secret cases.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a detail-oriented and organized approach.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments (Marketing, Professional Development, Information Services).
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
