Job Title: Corporate Counsel, AWS Infrastructure

Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting and directly advising business partners on legal, commercial, operational, regulatory, and other risks.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to identify and resolve commercial, operational, compliance, regulatory, security, safety, legal, and customer/vendor issues.
- Developing, advising on, and implementing with the business vendor engagement, contractual, and negotiation strategies.
- Owning and delivering on diverse and complex projects and transactions simultaneously.
- Demonstrating strong organizational skills and effectively collaborating across multiple internal teams and with counter-parties.
- Learning about the business to understand and anticipate the key risks faced by AWS infrastructure.
- Partnering with clients to develop and execute appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Helping chart long-term strategy for AWS infrastructure.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent.
- Preferred experience with a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proven track record of strong judgment in the absence of precedent.
- Strong ability to identify key issues and solve problems using creative solutions.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn and build relationships in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Salary Information:
- The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in the lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in the highest geographic market.
- Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
