Job Title: Steve Fredrickson Fellowship Opportunity
Job Responsibilities:
- The Steve Fredrickson Fellow will engage in a 10-week summer internship focused on housing/eviction or consumer advocacy work.
- Collaborate with attorneys on ongoing cases and projects related to housing or consumer issues.
- Contribute to advocacy work that aligns with Steve Fredrickson's legacy of expanding tenants' access to low-income housing and protecting consumer rights.
- Work on projects that address the civil legal needs of low-income individuals in Washington.
Education and Experience Information:
- The Fellowship is open to any law student who will have completed at least the first year of law school by June 2026.
- Rule 9 eligibility is not required.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong communication, research, and analytical skills, including excellent writing ability.
- A demonstrated commitment to social justice advocacy is required, with a specific interest in fulfilling basic human needs.
- Cultural competence and an appreciation for diversity, inclusion, racial equity, and access to justice are essential.
Salary Information:
- The Fellowship is compensated at an hourly rate of .
- The total stipend for the 10-week Fellowship is $7,525.
