- The organization works with community leaders to support their social justice campaigns and combat discrimination and poverty.
- MCJ's Impact Litigation Initiative focuses on pursuing litigation, public policy advocacy, and targeted programs to address racial and economic injustice in various areas.
- The organization is seeking a Staff Attorney or Non-Attorney Policy Analyst to work with the Impact Litigation unit in promoting its litigation and public policy advocacy efforts.
- The position is full-time and in-person, based in Jackson, Mississippi.
- The employee must be able to work outside of normal work hours and off-site when needed.
- Automobile travel is required for the position and will be reimbursed at a standard mileage rate.
- The specific responsibilities for the position will depend on the experience of the person hired, but may include litigation, policy and legal research, writing and analysis, and data analysis and management.
- The ideal candidate will have a commitment to social and racial justice, excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, and the ability to independently locate, gather, and analyze data or information.
