Job Title: Tax Manager - Renewable Energy

Job Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on tax issues related to renewable energy projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various departments including Tax, Advisory, Consulting, and Audit and Assurance.
- Manage renewable energy client engagements and target new clients.
- Deliver value by identifying opportunities and advising on benefits and eligibility for tax credits such as IRC section 48 Investment Tax Credit, IRC section 45 Production Tax Credit, IRC section 45Q Carbon Capture Tax Credit, and IRC section 45V Clean Hydrogen Tax Credit.
- Prepare tax returns and provide advisory services related to renewable energy tax equity structures like partnership flip, sale-leaseback, and pass-through lease.
- Maintain and develop strong internal and client relationships.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and a quality-first mentality in evaluating eligibility for various tax credits.
- Collaborate with member firms to execute work streams, such as cost segregation studies and tax equity financial modeling.
- Identify potential issues, propose solutions, and implement process improvement strategies.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of engagement deliverables including presentation decks, executive summaries, credit calculations, tax forms, memoranda, and IRS audit responses.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and present potential opportunities to clients.
- Develop and mentor team members.
- Provide support with internal initiatives and special tax-related projects.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration, economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a related field, with an exception for master’s degree holders with 2+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, effective communication skills, and proven leadership abilities.
- Ability to collaborate and develop internal and external relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, based on work and clients.
- One of the following active accreditations is required: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD.
- Experience with tax technical research.
- Experience with Federal or State and Local C&I.
- Experience with sustainability technologies or environmental sciences.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 or large CPA or law firm.

Salary Information:
The wage range for this role is estimated to be from $93,660 to $213,200. Compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Additionally, eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is possible, subject to the program's rules and individual and organizational performance.

Additional Information:
The position requires working within a hybrid model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
